The Ski Channel Teaching Pros

Jessica Cumming
Halfpipe Skiing

Jess is one of the very top free-skiers in the world, challenging herself in competitions, at photo shoots, and filming sessions that lead her across the globe and back. Besides the fact she is in all the biggest competitions, such as World Cup events, the US Open, the Jeep King of the Mountain (formerly the Ski Tour) and most importantly, the X-games, she gets tons of exposure in her capacity on the Roxy Snow Team and Copper Mountain Team. She is a fan favorite and recognized all over the world in the tightly bound circle that is free skiing. The fans of this sport are not passive observers. Rather, they are active participants who rush to the mountains to emulate, not only their favorite pros' tricks, but their lifestyle.

Shannon Bahrke
Freestyle Mogul Skiing

Shannon started skiing when she was three years old and grew up at all of the different resorts around Lake Tahoe. She made her first turns at Homewood Resort. When she knew a little bit more about what she was doing she expanded her horizons and bought a season pass at Alpine Meadows. When she graduated high school and the time finally came to make some decisions about her future she made the tough choice of moving away from home and moving to Salt Lake City. She won the United States Ski Team Selection Event in December of 1998 and earned a spot on the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team. She has 22 World Cup top-3s and she won the silver medal at the 2002 Olympics. Shannon is looking forward to next year’s Olympics.
