Known for his gracefulness on the slalom course, Grange made his World Cup debut in January 2004. Since then, he has won five WC races (four slalom and one super combined) and was the bronze medalist at the World Championships in Are, Sweden.
By the end of January 2008, Grange had four WC wins and a 21-point lead over Italy's Manfred Moelgg for the overall title. However, during the last remaining races, Grange faltered and his lead diminished, which opened the gate to his Italian rival.
Grange remains to be one of the most consistent alpine skiers on the World Cup circuit and will be for some time.
