Rebecca Rusch

World Champion mountain bike and adventure racer Rebecca Rusch really has done it all. Here's why we love her, and why you should, too:

Since turning pro in 2001, Rusch has become a regular atop adventure race podiums, and has dominated around the globe, from places like Kyrgyzstan to Tibet. She's even tackled (and dominated) the Raids Gauloises. More recently, Rusch added 24 Hour Solo Mountain Bike racing to her roster, and is now a three-time World Champion.

It all started when Rusch moved to California from the Illinois flatlands to pursue rock climbing. She soon racked up ascents of Yosemite and Zion before taking to paddling. Next, Rusch quickly rose up those ranks, too, even completing the infamously tough Molokai crossing. Adventure Racing soon followed, and as you might expect from this remarkable athlete, Rusch won her first major race-a qualifier for the Australian Eco-challenge. "The rest is history," she says.

Now an Idaho resident, Rusch blogs regularly about her adventures. Check it all out here, on the Ski Channel!
