I’ve been a Colorado resident for about two years now, spending most of my time fraternizing on the front range and snowboarding throughout I-70. Finally, a group of us decided to make the trek to southwest Colorado. We were Telluride bound and excited about it. (Well, technically it started out as a group, then whittled itself down to a Girl’s Weekend plus Tristan. Sorry for excommunicating you, T.)
Six hours in the car and a whole lot of 90′s jams later, we arrived at our modest condo just a few steps away from Telluride’s gondola. The whole area is just gorgeous – lush, vast, mountainous and humbling. It certainly didn’t take us long to unpack* and explore**
We had our share of laughs and memorable moments, most of which are captured and duplicated on each one of our iPhones. Probably the most notable was the summer to winter weather metamorphosis. In just 5 hours, the slate-gray mountains above tree line were snowcapped, teasing us with thoughts of the upcoming winter season.
I can’t wait to make it back to Telluride in the winter to see what the snowboarding is like!
