I love the National Ski Areas Association trade shows. I mean, where else can you encounter hundreds of grownup dioramas about skiing and snowboarding while collecting free drink tickets?
This year was especially awesome, as the PhatCat Challenge made its triumphant return to the slopes at Killington Resort in Vermont. Professional cat operators and less experienced “phat cat” executives faced off on a closed course designed to test skills necessary in day-to-day operations.
After the contest, I put my camera away and I jumped in the operator’s seat for the very first time. Let’s just say I have a lot of respect for groomers everywhere.
Find out who walked away with bragging rights, a prize purse of $1000, and how many cones met their demise in the 2012 NSAA PhatCat recap.
