Jen HudakQ & A with Jen Hudak

 Describe yourself in 3 words

determined, funny, competitive

What do you like about Skiing/Snowboarding?

I love the freedom and the control that I have on my skis. I can create any feeling at any point in time
just by how I'm using my skis.

If you weren't skiing/snowboarding, what would you do?

If I wasn't skiing I'd probably be finishing up college right now getting a degree in architecture with a focus on environmentally friendly development.

Who had the most important influence in your life?

My parents have definitely had the most important influence in my life. They have always been so supportive of what ever endeavor I was pursuing and their belief in me allowed me to believe in myself.

What was your happiest moment on the mountain?

My happiest moment on the mountain was landing an alley-oop 5 in X-Games this year. Finishing that run was such a feeling of accomplishment for me. I struggled with that trick for a long time-- I honestly think I had nightmares about it-- so to finally land it in competition, especially one as important as X-Games was incredible.

What's your biggest goal in life?

My biggest goal in life is to be happy. No matter what it is that I am going through, I want to be able to see the good in it. I think that the world would be a beautiful place if we were all able to do that.

How important are friends and family to you?

Friends and family are the most important things in the world to me. Without them I would never know the worth of the world.

What scares you?

Failure. Disappointment. I am a people pleaser, I get really stressed out when I can't make everyone happy.

How do you imagine the Ski/Snowboard scene in 5 years time?

5 years from now the ski scene is going to be insane! The envelope has been pushed so far in the past three years and it is only going to continue. I also see it in the Olympics baby!
