Internships - The Ski Channel has a year round internship program.  While most companies take interns and give them jobs that no one else will do, The Ski Channel is looking to invest in fresh minds and give interns experience that will be valuable to The Ski Channel at a date in the future.

The Ski Channel is extremely entrepreneurial business with a very energetic staff.

We are excited to educate fresh minds on the media business and the mountain sports, activity and lifestyle industries.  

We are a "promote from within" business and look at interns to serve two main purposes:

1)  accomplish tasks to help move the business forward
2)  acquire the knowledge and experience so they are value to us and we can hire them

The majority of internship programs seem to be looking for free labor and that is about it.  We want to hire interns after they have learned the business.

Our program is organic and flexible.  It can be done in our offices or out of a dorm room thousands of miles away.

Apprenticeships

The Ski Channel is interested in providing apprenticeships in certain situations.  Apprenticeships offer candidates a unique opportunity to shadow executives throughout their day.  It is like a PHD in learning the business trade and tactics of the executive they are shadowing.  These candidates often move up the corporate ladder faster than they would otherwise.  The Ski Channel does not have a dedicated apprenticeship program, but is interested in meeting with candidates who express significant interest in being an apprentice.  

There is the possibility of both paid and unpaid apprenticeships.  Paid apprenticeships will be at a low compensation rate but again will provide candidates with amazing learning experiences.
