Winter Storm Results: Taos

After a big December which saw 90 inches of snow fall, the Weather Gods are once again smiling on the Taos Ski Valley in New Mexico.  Twenty inches of snow have fallen on the mountain in the past 48 hours, and Mother Nature has yet to cease her fury.  As any veteran of Taos can tell you, snow falling is great; but snow falling with high winds can be problematic, as new snow can get blown right off the mountain.  Not so with this latest storm, as winds have been very light, ensuring deep powder runs for all comers.

Fresh snow and to go with it fresh deals, as all through January, Taos has its fourth-night-free offer — book three nights of lodging and get the fourth night free.  If that’s not appealing enough, perhaps Julia Roberts will let you crash on her couch.
