On Tuesday, Ski Utah, comprising of nine skiers, successfully navigated all 13 Utah ski and snowboard resorts in on day.  This broke the two year old record of 11 resorts in one day set back during the 2003-2004 winter season.

The Guinness Book record breakers started their journey at Brian Head Resort at 4am and ended their feat with three celebratory runs at Beaver Mountain at 8pm.  The final tally:  554 miles, 16 hours, 13 resorts.  For the final run at Beaver Mountain, the skiers were cheered on by the lift staff as they loaded the lift and descended Little Beaver lift to the shouts of onlookers.

"With an international airport just minutes from our mountains, Utah is the most accessible winter destination in the world,” commented Ski Utah President Nathan Rafferty. “Skiing 13 in a day, using only a van and skis, really underscores this point."  Congrats go out to Ski Utah and their deserved place in the record books!

Ski Utah’s 13 resorts skied in one day: Brian Head, Sundance Resort, Deer Valley Resort, Park City Mountain Resort, The Canyons Resort, Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, Brighton, Snowbasin, Wolf Creek Utah, Powder Mountain, and Beaver Mountain.
