Ski Dubai? The Largest Indoor Ski Hill

Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, resides at the opposite end of the skiing-climate spectrum.  It’s a coastal, desert city.  The highest temperature ever recorded in Dubai was 117 degrees.  Can snow evaporate before turning to water?   The lowest temperature recorded was 45 degrees.  Still need to trim 15 off that number to receive snow.  Folks marvel at skiing Hawaii, but once the elevation of Mauna Kea is factored in, the "white mountain" is added to the checklist of places to ski before I die.

Another spot on the list would have to be Ski Dubai, the largest indoor ski hill, and the only one that features a quad chairlift.  The vertical descent rises 25 stories, about the same as World Cup champ Lindsey Vonn’s home mountain of Buck Hill.  The temperature is always 30 degrees, and the turns are always surreal.
