Winter Storm Results: Heavenly

Mother Nature bestowed a serious case of March Gladness to the Tahoe region this past week.  Sunday night, the snow started falling, and it was a good thing.  So much of a good thing that it took four days and SIX FEET of fresh snow before Our Heavenly Snow Mother decided to move on.  The Tahoe region got absolutely obliterated.  Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Heavenly, Kirkwood, Northstar, Sugar Bowl all received six feet of new snow.

Mark Rudyk who writes the blog for Heavenly had one word to describe the conditions on the mountain, "Wow."  These storms equal good news on several fronts.  First, the obvious.  Conditions right now are epic and ensure an unbelievable March.  Looking further ahead, when the t-shirts come out and the heavy jackets move to the closet, a large snow pack promises fantastic spring skiing.  Oh the joys of spring skiing!  But, first thing’s first.  Powder, more powder, and then some powder.  All happening right now at Heavenly.  To help with your snow mission, Heavenly has a ton of lodging deals exclusive to the web.  Aren’t you glad you learned to use the internet?
