And the Celebration Begins: Squaw Valley Joins Value Pass Ranks

Dubbed "value passes", they are the heavily discounted season passes that go on sale in March and April for the following ski season.  Recent events have seen the value pass making a strong comeback.  Just last month, Mammoth Mountain announced the re-opening of their MVP club.  Previously if you missed a year, you were out of the club.  Get out!  But now, the club is an open club, just bring your biz.

One of the last value pass hold-outs, Squaw Valley announced this weekend value passes will be sold.  Squallywood, all 4000 skiable acres is yours for only $369!  The fine print voice chimes in, $369 has black-out dates, $469 fewer blackouts, $949 unrestricted.  A Squaw Valley season pass cost $1549 last year. The movie resort of Warren Miller, Greg Stump, and the glorious cult-classic, Hot Dog.   Site of the 1960 Olympics.  KT-22.  The Fingers!  Scott Schmidt and the Palisades.  Squaw is a legend and the tribe is about to get a whole lot bigger.
