Spring Storm Results: Alta and Snowbird

March roared in like a lion around the Wasatch Front in Utah, and it seems to be going out like a lion, too. So far, Alta has collected 18 inches overnight, with Snowbird reporting 17. The snow is still falling, though it’s tapering, and temps are expected to remain cool over the next few days, which will help the snow stick. If you haven’t hit Utah’s freshies yet this year, now would be a good time to do it!

Parkites fared less well than those tucked into the Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons: The wind is still swirling, windows still rattling, and the nearby resorts are still a little dry. Deer Valley had the largest catch, with four inches overnight, and the Canyons have reported just two. Still, more snow is expected throughout the day, so keep your ski tips crossed!
