Will the ’08-’09 Season be a Long One?

Considering the tremendous snowfalls that have blessed the country this winter, ski resorts from the East Coast to the West Coast are announcing ski season extensions. Telluride announced they are staying open until April 12, Belleayre in New York will be running lifts until it’s no longer skiable and a more announcements are expected over the next week.With the huge dumps that have taken place in Colorado, Utah and California, it is highly likely that resorts will be taking advantage of increasing skier visits through more days open.

It doesn¹t get much better than spring skiing and snowboarding. The Ski Channel will be providing a comprehensive list of ski resort closing dates shortly. So get your gear packed! We¹re hitting the mountain.
