Whatever hallucinations Utahns have had of spring have been dashed. It’s been snowing like crazy, and several skiers now claim that ski conditions this spring are perhaps the greatest in history.

Here’s how it all measures up:

Snowbird received 12 feet in 12 days. Yup, 12 feet! And the recent tax day storm just shed at least a foot of fresh flakes all along the Wasatch front. Powder Mountain, which is still open for Cat skiing took the prize and true to its name, received 20 inches of the good stuff. Even Park City Mountain Resort, which just extended its closing date to the 19th received a foot of snow overnight. Alta also fared well with 15 inches.

So yes, winter is not over. And no matter how much the locals either beg for the snow or bark about it, this Utah spring is epic.
