Still Open California Ski Resorts

Cinderella, the hair metal band of yesteryear, sang “Don’t know what you got until it’s gone.”  It’s that lyric and song that burrow in my brain like a tic when I ponder the end of the ski season.  The excruciating pain of the end of the ski season is blunted by just how good some of the spring skiing is right now.  Here’s a list of California resorts still operating.  Get it while you still can!

Squaw Valley.  Don’t forget the mountain’s pool party at High Camp on Sunday.  The party is part of Squaw’s Meet Your Mountain shindig.  Lift tickets are only $20.

Sugar Bowl.  Final weekend for Sugar Bowl.  The resort is offering all-day lift tickets at half-day rates, and season passholders from other Lake Tahoe ski resorts can ride for $33.

Mammoth Mountain.  The calendar at Mammoth is still as stacked as the snowpack.  This weekend it’s Volcom’s Peanut Butter and Rail Jam.  Some non-hearsay from me to you: the spring-skiing at Mammoth right now is All Time.

Kirkwood.  Final weekend at Kirkwood and tickets are only $36 for adults.  Most of the front side of the mountain is open with Chairs 6, 7, 10, & 11.  Discounted passes for next year are available until April 30.

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe.  Season passholders can bring guests who will have to pony-up only $20 for a lift ticket.  If your circle of friends is small and does not include a Mt. Rose passholder, adult lift tickets are only $40.

Open Resorts This Weekend in: California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, New England
