Still Open New England Resorts

For a brief moment in time, all moms were listening to Extreme’s “More Than Words.”  Well, your last chance to have a ski experience that constitutes more than words and memories could be this weekend.  Here’s a list of New England resorts operating this weekend.

Jay Peak, Vermont.  $39 lift tickets, and the spring skiing combo-necessity of BBQ and live music on the Tram Haus deck.  TV Weatherman read the teleprompter calling for 70 degree temps this weekend!  Perfect.

Killington, Vermont.  A sprinkling of new snow has set up Killington for some great spring skiing this weekend.  Don’t bust out the golf clubs quite yet.

Sugarbush, Vermont.  Props to owner Win Smith for using the Force to keep Sugarbush open this weekend with a possible re-opening on May 2&3.

Sugarloaf, Maine.  The SuperQuad lift is still open, serving 332 acres of terrain.  This Saturday, it’s Sugarloaf’s Corn & Crocus Randonée Race with prizes and a free spaghetti dinner for racers and friends after the event.  The best kind of food is free food!

Sunday River, Maine.  On Sunday, it’s Sunday River’s annual FREE SKI DAY!  Skiing is out of the Barker Mountain Lodge.  Nothing in life is free? Au contraire mon frere!
