Ski Utah with Delta Nonstop Flights from Tokyo to Salt Lake City

“The greatest snow on earth” is about to meet the greatest metropolitan economy on earth.  Delta airlines will be offering nonstop flights from Tokyo, Japan to Salt Lake City next ski season.  Utah is home to 13 world-class ski resorts.  Tokyo produces a GDP of $1.191 trillion, the largest purchasing power of any city in the world.  Seems like a good fit to me.

Japanese ski legend Yuichiro Miura, the man who skied Mt. Everest (check clip above), is both a Park City home owner and native of Japan.  He named his first son Yutah, pronounced the same as the state.  Miura had some excited words for the non-stop flights that will allow him easier access to friends and family.  “My love of Utah is profound and deep.  As a professional, I have skied all around the world, but the variety of terrain and the Utah people make it the best overall ski destination anywhere. I would encourage skiers, from beginners to world class athletes, to come and experience what Utah has to offer.”
