The death of Michael Jackson certainly was a kin to the death of JFK in that you remember where you were when you heard the news.  You reflect upon the situation. You become interested in the opinions of notables on the subject.

We reached out to a couple of skiers to get there opinions and they both defaulted to “legend.”

US Ski Team Racer Erik Fisher.  “Michael’s music puts me in the best moods and to mix that with a perfect powder day is the ultimate. He has officially reached Legend status!”

US Ski Team Racer and Rock Star Bryon Friedman  “i was always into music as a little kid…i can remember the first time my parents let me control their stereo and i kept playing “billy jean” over and over again.  i knew what the moonwalk was well before i was introduced to ski racing…the guy is a legend!”

No word on whether the estate has found a buyer for Jackson’s Aspen house that is now for sale.
