The Ski Channel salutes Andy Roddick for a gutsy performance in the finals of the 2009 Wimbledon Championships. In yet another marathon finally, both men had their metal tested in a battle of perseverance. Roger Federer came away with the cup .  As Andy Roddick returns the the US, we have compiled a list of therapeutic and rejuvenating activities to help restore the tennis star to tournament ready condition:

1) Take a visit to Alyeska resort . Adhere a picture of Federer to your bathroom mirror and train like Rocky in the wilds of Alaska, leave your brother in law at home. While there, take a side trip to visit Sarah Palin and discuss what it means to not quit on the people who look up to you.

 2) Visit the U.S. Olympic Ski Team and and deliver a rousing speech on strategies to compete with top flight Swiss opponents. Switzerland has a long legacy of producing top tier ski teams, add to      that tennis star Roger Federer, a strong soccer presence and a killer ham and swiss sandwich, and one can see why the Swiss have a lot of pride.

 3) Enjoy some solitude in Telluride. Take a tram ride to the top of the mountain and reflect on a great year, then hit Alpino Vino, a wine bar at 12,000 feet. Nothing pairs with wine like extreme altitude.       Throw in some of our local friends, and you have a soul satisfying party in the heart of ski country.

 4) Visit the Federer family at their new home in Valbella, a ski area in the Swiss Alps. Help the couple choose a name for their soon to come first child, perhaps Andy or Andi, depending on gender. Remember, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

 5) Pick up season passes for Sun Valley at a discount, then mix it up this coming season with Hollywood luminaries. If you see Clint, ask him to help you refine your pre-match stare down, spaghetti western style.

Welcome home Andy, kudos on a hard fought match!
