Rossignol recalls Cross Country Boots Due to Skiers Potentially Falling?

Recently unQuiksilvered Rossignol, are recalling 4000 Cross Country Ski Boots sold in the US and Canada.  Reason being the boots sole could separate from the upper boot during use which could lead to the hazard of uh…falling?

Are we missing something here?  If the boot emits poison gas?  If the boot shoots jagged spears up into your cranium?  But falling?  Our bet is Rossignol rocks too hard to blow a boot and some over the top consumer safety person is being a pain in the backside of the rooster.  So this is going in our “not buying it” column.  Please feel free to abuse below.

Not paid for by Rossignol or any of its associates, representatives, colleagues, buddies, chums, mates or people who in general like Roosters, Hens, Chicken’s or Fowl.
