In yet another sign that the ski industry rocks like Foghat, Resort Ventures West has signed an agreement with Grand Junctions Leitner-Poma to build a gondola linking the 184,000 square foot Trailhead Lodge condominium building with the remainder of the 47 acre master-planned develop to the base of Steamboat.

Construction is slated to immediately and the gondola will start shuttling Billy Kidd and the rest of the people from Ski Town USA up to the top.

The Gondola will go 2000 feet in about 4 minutes and will feature four groups of two, six passenger cabins (we read this over a couple of times and think we understand what we are writing) for a capacity of about 350 people per hour.  More cabins can be added later to take it up to about 500 per hour.
