El Nino is Back and Sporting High Heels

Forecasters announced this past week that El Nino (sorry don’t know how to make the little thing over the “n”) is back.  She’s pissed and she is going to dump massive amounts of white slippery stuff all over the Southern Rockies.   Ski Portillo in Chile and Las Lenas in Argentina were mentioned as potential beneficiaries.   As if we haven’t been lucky enough – this might really help with the next ski season.

In the US, the Sierras seem to be edging towards being the biggest beneficiaries.  Mammoth, Mountain, Tahoe, et al will be buying many flowers for Ms. Nino in hopes that they get another spectacular winter like last winter where the snow was epic.

The last El Nino happened in 2006.
