What the Top Skiers and Snowboarders are Doing Now

Ever wonder what your favorites are up to during the summer? Training for the most part, but they’re also doing lots of other cool stuff.

Rossignol freeskier Lynsey Dyer is headed to Park City to practice jumping at the Utah Olympic Park.

World Record Smasher and World Champion Lindsey Vonn has been in Europe watching tennis and hobnobbing with Roger Federer.

U.S. Team Snowboarder Nate Holland is in Baghdad and today visited the “Bath House” where the first bomb was dropped at the start of the war. “Demolished!” he said.

The U.S. Ski Team (both men’s and women’s alpine) is about to head to New Zealand next week to start a three-week training camp. It will be their first real on-snow time of the new season.

2009 World Champion mogul skier Pat Deneen was seen in Mt. Hood, training the flats with his dad. Deneen lives in Cle Elum, WA, which is a relatively short drive away.

The U.S. Freestyle Ski Team aerialists, including Emily Cook are still training in Park City, jumping into the water. World Champion Ryan St. Onge is currently working on his jumps in Lake Placid.

Basically, everyone is enjoying summer and is off the couch. If you’re watching the Ski Channel, though, we won’t judge.
