U2′s Bono who has come to Davos Ski Resort in Switzerland for the World Politcal and Economic Forum in the past decided against it earlier this year.  The small ski village with some of the best terrain in all of Europe and some of the warmest people you will ever find in the snow sliding community has hosted many giant events like the forum.

Locals are always treated to waves of the worlds heaviest of heavyweights.  Prime Ministers, Presidents and Premiers have always frequented the highest town in the Switzerland.  2500 hundred people came to this years’ forum to discuss Global Warming, the Economy and many of the worlds biggest issues.

“I have met Roger Federer once and a couple years ago I met Bono,” said Klaus Rosset.  “We were all hoping that Bono was going to come back as he is so nice and inspiring.  We really liked him and were going to send him an invite from some of the residents.”

There has been some speculation that Bono’s bandmates in U2 were feeling the activism could get in the way of the music.  There is one way to solve a lot of these problems – SKI MORE!  Davos sounds like a great place to try!
