MIchael Phelps Captures New World Record Day After Stunning Loss

After shocking the world with a loss to Germany’s Paul Biedermann in the 200-meter freestyle, Michael Phelps pulled a stunner again and won the 200-meter butterfly at the World Swimming Championships, in Rome.

Phelps time of 1 minute, 51.51 seconds was more than a half-second ahead of his previous mark, 1:52.03, and set a new world record. He held his finger up when his record posted, telling the world that once again, he’s numero uno.
