80-Year-Old Skier Breaks Leg Huckin’ Cliff

He’s 80 and he’s still huckin’ cliffs on skis.  Well, maybe not cliffs, but in this case, a 6-foot rocky shoal.  Nick Regos, an octogenarian avid skier fractured his femur at Australia’s Mount Buller last Sunday.

Regos gave an interview while laid up in the hospital.  The reporter, obviously not a Ski Junkie, asked if the former ski patrolman and high school physical ed teacher was ready to give up skiing.  “No way,” was Regos’ answer.  In fact, he was already planning for the European ski season in January.

Right on, Nick!  You are an inspiration to us all.  Dr. Ruth espouses kissin’ and huggin’ in your 80s, why not skiing?
