Mansions of Bernie Madoff Up for Sale

The victims of Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme are hoping that the sale of his three luxurious properties will bring about a big payday, which still won’t get all of their money back.  They will share the proceeds from the sales of Madoff’s mansions, which go up for sale today.  As we have reported here at TSC, Madoff made some of his deals (that would eventually send him to jail for the rest of his life) while at posh ski resorts all over the world.  And as his homes come on the market, we are disappointed to see that he didn’t own a ski house! Here is what he did own: an Upper East Side duplex valued at $7.5 million, a $7 million Montauk beach house, and his Palm Beach waterfront retreat, which is valued at $7.5 million.  We will be watching to see how much his victims will be sharing once these properties sell!
