Two Captive California Journalists Released in North Korea

North Korean leader Kim Jong Il has pardoned and released two American journalists who have been held after being sentenced in June for entering the country illegally.  Former President Bill Clinton met with the Dear Leader (as he is known) today and expressed words of “sincere apology” for the hostile acts committed by the two journalists.  Laura Ling and Euna Lee are both reporters for the California-based Current TV, which was launched by Clinton’s VP, Al Gore.  The women had been sentenced to 12 years of hard labor.  We here at TSC thank Aspen’s President Clinton for helping these two women return back to the US safely!
