George Clooney & Coffee Shop Laptop Users Under Fire!

Late-night Starbucks man, George Clooney will have to leave his laptop behind.  Many coffee shops in New York City are banning the use of laptops.  What was once a marriage made in heaven, the laptop user and the coffee shop, has turned into a messy divorce.

With rising unemployment, the laptop user who sits all day in the coffee shop nursing a two-buck cup of coffee, has left some coffee shops without a place to sit for actual customers.  Coffee shop owners have responded by covering up outlets and having designated hours (usually during lunch) when laptop use is banned.  Thankfully at places like Syd’s in Tahoe City, there is no such policy being considered.  “No way,” was the answer I got when calling for comment.

George Clooney, you’ve been warned.  Next time you’re heading to that late night coffee shop, you might have to leave the laptop behind.
