Honda Exec Slams Prius Rumors

The new Toyota Prius and Honda Insight, two of the best passenger vehicles to get you to Vail, Breckenridge, Telluride, Aspen et al from Denver, or to Deer Valley, Snowbird, Park City et al from Salt Lake and certainly to get you to Mammoth Mountain from Los Angeles look like suspiciously similar automobiles.

Did a Honda team slip into the design room of Toyota?  Did Nixon send a team at night to raid the Honda engineers files on behalf of Toyota?  Nobuki Ebisawa, managing director of Honda R & D, asserts: “There may be some similarities in the roof line, but it is clearly different.”  He went on to say that the current Insight represents a logical progression from Honda’s former designs.

Honda has also released a limited number of hydrogen fuel cell cars named the Honda Clarity available by lease that will likely be the most environmentally friendly way of getting skiers and snowboarders to ski resorts all over the country.
