Hugh Hefner, notorious Playboy Magazine Publisher, and his wife Kimberley have sold their Holmby Hills mansion for $18 million, a staggering $10 million below the orignal asking price.  The 2.3 acre mansion sits right next to the original Playboy Mansion that still rocks like Foghat.

The neighborhood is well let’s say pretty cool.  The  exclusive LA Country Club and legendary Spelling mansion are right down the street.   Jimmy Iovine’s estate is right next door and Rod Laver’s former abode, complete with a grass tennis court, is right around the corner.

Hefner crashed at the Aspen Ski Resort last year while filming his “Girls Next Door” television show on E!  In the show, Hef and the girls visit the Copper Palace, a 25,000 square foot mansion divided into 5 copper pods over 40 sprawling acres. Barbie Benton, former Hefner flame and talented skier, now owns the palace with her husband George Gradow.  Hef and his gals shared a nice dinner with the couple following Gradow’s recent release from prison on tax fraud charges.
