The Tesla Model S all electric family sedan is scheduled to roll out in late 2011 but they are taking reservations now. This will likely be the first all electric production vehicle that is snow friendly with an all-wheel-drive option available. The Model S boasts up to a 300 mile range, 45 minute QuickCharge from 480V, 120V, 240V power sources, seating for five adults and two children, SUV-like cargo capacity and an extra trunk under the hood. The rear seats fold flat to accomodate skis, snowboards, a mountain bike and most of your other gear with a unique hatch for oversized items.

In the performance category the Model S goes from 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds with a top speed of 120 mph. All-wheel-drive is available so you can rocket up to Mammoth or Killington in two and a half hours without traffic and police. And it will only cost you about $4 to fully charge. Other bells and whistles include a 17 inch touchscreen with in-car 3G connectivity to the Internet, HD and satellite radio, Panoramic roof with sliding moonroof and Brembo brakes.

The base price is $49,900 (includes $7,500 US federal tax credit).
