Al Gore Update: July Global Temps See Biggest Jump on Record

July temps were officially the coldest on record for six U.S. states.  Of course, global warming skeptics will use this info to spout scientific conspiracies, but the wider, global picture was not so good.

The University of Alabama found that globally, July was the second warmest month ever recorded.  Second warmest ever!  So while Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Illinois all had their coldest month on record (records go back to 1895), the rest of planet earth showed no slowdown in its march towards a general warming.

Global average temperatures were 0.41 Celcius higher in July than in the previous month of June.  That jump is the biggest on record (global temperatures have only been kept for 31 years).
