Lindsey Vonn & Ted Ligety Olympic Training at Coronet Peak in New Zealand

Coronet Peak in New Zealand is now ground zero for pre-Olympic preparations.  It’s a gathering of the world’s best as they begin on-snow training for the 2010 Olympics.  Many of the athletes have been off the snow for a short time, but from New Zealand to Vancouver, it will be all snow, all the time.

Superstars from both the men’s and women’s U.S. Ski Team will be hittin’ the gates at Coronet Peak.  On the men’s side, Ted Ligety, Olympic Gold Medalist in the combined at Torino and a two-time overall giant slalom world champion, will be there.

On the women’s side, Lindsey Vonn, the defending two-time overall World Cup champion, and Julia Mancuso, gold medalist in Torino, will both be there.

The Canadians, Swedish, and Swiss Teams are all there also, watching the water go down the drain in reverse.
