Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort to Open Ski Back Trail This Winter

Mammoth Mountain is one of the biggest ski resorts in the world.  At certain times of the year, it has the best snow in the world.  A combination of Pacific Ocean salt water and wind make the snow dry as Death Valley.  It has the longest ski season of any resort in the United States.  The Village Ski Back Trail has now gotten all approvals and is ready to go.

The trail will connect the Main Lodge to the Village.  The slope of the trail will not be steep but is expected to allow skiers and boarders to make it from Main Lodge to the Village without stopping.  Pretty cool and should make staying at the Village even more appealing.

The trail is expected to open at Christmas.  A ribbon cutting ceremony is tentatively scheduled for the week of August 17th.

So skiers and snowboarders grab one of the new flights to Mammoth while you can still get them and stay at the Village Lodge!
