You all know how delicious a hearty meal is after a long day of some hard skiing or snowboarding. It takes a lot of energy to fall and hop back up only to fall again 5 seconds later. At least, that’s my experience. But seriously, spending hours on the slopes burns some major calories. So what do you eat at the end of the day to replenish all of those lost calories? I have found the answer. That answer is These are real foods made by real people all throughout the country. No wonder our obesity rate is through the roof. Come on people! Exhibit A) The Fool’s Gold Loaf Sandwich: A loaf of hollowed out bread filled with creamy peanut butter, a jar of grape jelly, and a pound of bacon. REALLY?!? I’d have to ski for about 12 straight hours (at least) to burn the amount of calories contained in that sandwich. Putting bacon in a PB&J sandwich is clever, I’m not gonna lie…but why must we use the entire jar of jelly and a pound of bacon? Why? When is it going to be enough? Did you all see “Wall-E”? Remember how all the people in that movie were incredibly fat and rode around in scooter type things all day instead of walking? Well, that’s where we’re headed if we keep putting this kind of shiz in our bodies. Just a friendly reminder from the folks here at The Ski Channel to stay healthy, peeps! Keep active and think about what you’re putting in your bodies. If you don’t see the affects now, you will in the future. Guaranteed!
