There’s a small ski resort in Leukerbad, Switzerland (situated in the Swiss Alps) that may seem pretty simple and unassuming, but what they’re about to construct is anything but that. They’re in talks to construct the world’s largest ski lift…a record breaking 1,345 feet! The conveyor will be completely covered, making it weatherproof, and it will be running in the summer as well as the winter. Skiers and snowboarders should rejoice with this development…with the lift, they won’t have to take a bus to get to the top like they have to now. The Leukerbad ski lift takes the title of longest lift away from the Muhlwald Ski Resort in Italy, which goes a mere 748 feet. 748? Pshh. Kid’s stuff. So, who’s up for a ride on the Leukerbad lift?? Let’s do it.
