14 Seconds of Them Crooked Vultures = WIN

Yep, more Them Crooked Vultures news for you.  Why?  Well, first and foremost, because Josh Homme is worthy of martyrdom worship without having actually offed himself for any cause.  Second, I’m hoping their music replaces the completely overused Biggie Smalls in ski films.  No doubt that Biggie was a poet and artist of the highest order, but can’t we all move on from Biggie’s music being used in 99% of ski films?

Homme, the former Kyuss guitar god and current Queens of the Stone Age frontman, has teamed up with Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighter frontman Dave Grohl, and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones to form the supergroup Them Crooked Vultures.  Their first show was in Chicago two Sundays ago, and now the trio are taking their act to Amsterdam.  Amazingly in this era of cell phone video cameras that what has leaked onto the internet has been pretty worthless.  Ah, but thankfully the group has released a short 14 second teaser of a song called “Nobody Loves Me and Neither Do I”.  It’s 14 seconds of groove bliss.  Check it, and get to licensing Them Crooked Vultures for your upcoming ski flick.
