Olympic Alpine snowboarder and Aspen resident Chris Klug is pretty amazing. For starters, he won the bronze medal for alpine snowboarding at the 2002 Olympic Games. He’s also always ready with a huge smile, easy to talk to and uber talented. Did we mention he wrote a book? Right. Because on top of all this, Chris Klug is the recipient of a liver transplant, and on top of the top of it all, the dude has been thriving.

Klug launched the Chris Klug Foundation (CKF) to promote more life-saving donations, and to improve the quality of life for donors, donor families, organ transplant candidates and recipients. Next week, Klug’s foundation will be on-site for the Mountain Summit event in Aspen, where the film “Samsara” will show along with a presentation by Ed Viesturs. CKF will be on hand starting at 6 PM, at the Wheeler, to educate attendees about their work and the need for organ and tissue donation. If you’re in Aspen, check them out, and if not, visit www.chrisklugfoundation.org for more information.
