Fans of the 2010 Subaru Freeskiing World Tour will not have to wait much longer, as the tour will kick off in a few weeks in La Parva, Chile.  The first event of the 2010 season is The North Face South American Freeskiing Championships, and it will take place from September 3-6 on the snow of the Andes Mountains.  This is the first time in 12 years that the tour will be in South America, and competitors from around the globe will be battling for overall World Tour points and a $10,000 cash purse.  In addition, the overall 2010 World Tour champions will be awarded the McConkey Cup, to “honor our good friend and legendary skier Shane McConkey, who founded this sport and the IFSA,” said Mountain Sport International President Adam Comey.
