Roger Federer, Swiss skier, tennis pro, and new homeowner in the  Lenzerheide-Valbella Ski Area in Switzerland, won the Western and Southern Cincinnatti Masters Event at the Lindner Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio today. Federer beat Jose Acasuso, David Ferrer, Lleyton Hewitt, and Andy Murray before trouncing Novak Djokovic in straight sets in the final 6-1, 7-5.  His wife and twin daughters cheered him on throughout the day.

Federer played virtually flawlessly, exhibiting spectacular shotmaking, deft ball control, and court coverage.  Immediately after the match, the USTA and tournament owners announced a $10 million facitlity upgrade that will commence immediately after the tournament this year.

Perhaps Federer’s recent  domination in all events he enters will quell doubts about his ability to continue to reign supreme in tennis.

His next event is the US Open in Flushing, New York.
