He’s won two silver Olympic medals on the snowboard.  He can ride the pipe on the edge of reckless, but in New Zealand’s Christchurch District Court today, he is expected to admit to reckless driving. New Zealand peace officers charged twenty-seven year old Kass with endangering public safety last week after he drove his van up the main run of McDougalls at Cardrona Alpine Resort on August 17th.

Cardrona ski manager Gary Husband was not too pleased with the stunt and has banned Kass from returning to the ski area. Rumors circulating today indicate some plea bargaining has already taken place behind the scenes, suggesting Kass will cop to a lesser charge.

Daniel Scott Kass is one snowboarding‘s greatest legends and biggest personalties.
