San Jose native and US Ski Team member Tim Jitloff (seen left) has won the first slalom race of the Air New Zealand FIS Southern Cup Race Series. He came in with a combined time of 1:30.59. USA! USA! The Norwegians claimed second place with Leif Kristian coming in. Third went to Japan’s Ryuunosuke Ohkoshi. For the women, the first 2 finishers were also carrying the Japanese flag. Give it up for Hiromi Yumoto (1:39.20) and Mizue Hoshi (1:39.42). Erin Mielsynski  from Canada was third. Congrats on a great race everybody!
