Austria’s Ski Great Toni Salier Dies

Toni Sailer, the Austrian alpine skier who won three gold medals at the 1956 Winter Olympics has died at the age of 73 after a long illness.  The Kitzbuehel Ski Club made the announcement on Tuesday that the skiing great had died the day before.  Sailer won his three gold medals at the games in Cortina, Italy in 1956, and he also held many world championship titles.  After his skiing career ended, he became a singer and actor.   Funeral details are not available as of yet.
