Even though IOC President Jacques Rogge has not included women’s ski jumping in the upcoming 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, he has announced that it will be part of the inaugural Winter Youth Olympics in 2012.   Rogge also said that the sport has a “very strong case” to be part of future Olympic games, but that it was “not ready” for Vancouver.  He indicated that the event will have a strong case for inclusion in the Games the next time the International Ski Federation proposes it.  The 2012 Winter Youth Games will be held in Innsbruck, Austria.
