We all remember in 1996 when tragedy struck as extreme-skiing legend Trevor Petersen was killed in Chamonix, France. In 2005, icon and all around amazing dude Glen Plake thought it was time for Trevor’s then 15 year old son Kye to ski the same run that took his father’s life. “The Edge of Never” is the adventurous documentary that follows three generations of skiers as they coach and guide Kye in his attempt to tackle his father’s fatal run. From the press release: “A ripping adventure tale of a young man coming of age, The Edge of Never is also a rich and subtle portrait of men and women who live big in the face of their greatest fears”. That’s what we’re all about here at The Ski Channel. Living big and facing our fears. It’s the only way you’ll get the bottom of that mountain. More from the film’s press release: “The film will premiere at The Vail Symposium Film Series in Vail, Colorado, on Sept. 16. A national tour will follow with stops in ski-friendly cities and towns throughout the country, including Denver, Salt Lake City, Ogden, Boulder, Ft. Collins, Seattle, Portland, Spokane, Bellingham, Salem, Eugene, Sacramento, Reno, Minneapolis, Madison, Milwaukee, Albany, Rochester, Boston and Amherst. A winter tour will also be scheduled for December through mid-March”.
