Apex Sports Group Making High End Comfort Boot

Starting this month, Apex Sports Group will begin selling a high end ski boot aimed at providing skiers (and possibly snowboarders) maximum comfort while still delivering great ski control. The boot is a heat molded liner that fits inside a trim snowboard boot. This boot would then slide into a two buckle carbon fiber chassis that clicks into the skis binding. The boot is meant to be able to walk in and even drive comfortably while not in the skiing chassis. The whole set up weighs less than a traditional ski boot, but the high end carbon fiber will add expense. The boots are due to go on sale at $1,295 a pair. Apex Sports Group, founded by Denny Hanson who pioneered rear entry boots in the 1970′s, will sell the boots online and at high end ski resorts and specialty shops.
