Another Indoor Ski Area Opens

Finlands capital, Helsinki has a new indoor ski area.  Yllas Hall opened in the Kivikko district and will be opened year-round.  It came at a cost of nearly $10 million Euro’s and is primarily for cross-country skiing.  Numerous other winter sports including tubing, curling, ice skating, climbing and biathlon are all included in the center.

The cross-country track is 1.2KM and is powered by a mix of solar and traditional energy.
