The story of South Lake Tahoe resident Jayce Lee Dugard and her 18 years in captivity has captivated people all over the world.  Reporters and newspeople around the world are vying for the opportunity for Dugard to tell her story in person.  According to several news outlets, Dugard will appear on daytime queen Oprah Winfrey’s show “Oprah” in December for a fee of $1 million.

Last week, TSC reported that Oprah had publicly stated that Dugard’s story was the “one” interview she really wanted, and it looks like she will be getting it.  Dugard’s captors, Phillip and Nancy Garrido, are charged with 29 felony counts, including kidnapping, rape, and holding her captive.  They have pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
